The range of desktops and laptops available for purchase from either retail stores or the internet is vast! So whether you are looking for a replacement or this is your first PC or Mac, you need to establish what you want it for. We provide advice for the purchase of Windows and Mac OS/X desktops and laptops. If you're trying to decide between a PC or a Mac we can provide an interactive demo, either on-site or at our office. This will cover the basics of using a Mac and the applications available out-of-the-box. We will meet with you and discuss your requirements and the price range. We will then research many stores and websites to find a computer that fits the requirements given and the budget spend. If your needs are very specific, we can quote to build the PC to your specification in terms of hardware and software – or recommend an internet supplier and order specification that meets your needs. There are quite a few suppliers on the internet that allow users to heavily tailor the PC build to their requirements, Bespoke builds like this usually delay delivery for between 2 and 4 days. You will be provided with a list of potential purchases with details of the supplier, spend, specification and potential delivery dates. The list will highlight the recommended purchase. We always recommend that you purchase the equipment to ensure purchase and warranty details are correct from the machine's first day of use. Installation Once you have the equipment we can install and configure the computer, applications and networks including internet access. This usually requires us to be on site with you but we can complete software installations and configurations remotely. Configuration will include:
OK, So How Much Will This Cost? We can provide fixed price schemes or charge by the hour. Our hourly rates start at £30 including VAT. For fixed price schemes, once we have agreed what your requirements are for the service provided by us, we will quote and stick to that quote! So you can easily manage and track the costs. They will not change unless you change the requirements. As an example, PC procurement starts at £30 per PC inc. VAT. PC installation and configuration starts at £40 per PC. Do you need help?
